The word of God is so powerful, we should never forget that. When all else fails the Word is still standing, unmoved and unchanged. So many solutions are in the word of God, so many answers to prayers. Still few make reading it a priority. Today I am re-blogging my “The Word” post to remind you of the power and life that is housed in your Bible. If you are hungry for freedom, in one way or another, you should eat of the word of God. For the entrance of His word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130). God’s words are life to those that find them and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4: 22). To understand this truth, is to not let them out of your sight, but to secure them within your heart (Proverbs 4:21). Again, the words of God are life to those that find them—health to their flesh (Proverbs 4:22)!
The word is a lamp unto the feet that discover it, a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). It is alive and powerful and sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.
